Performance Appraisal

It is an annual process whereby the company assesses the performance of the employees and makes crucial decisions about their career prospects.

If you are exceptionally good at work , it's very likely your company will pump you with rewards.

If you are a poor worker , downsizing or not, your company is probably eagerly waiting to see your back.

At times you may feel that that you have been wrongly assessed and things should not have been as they are at present. Your boss remembers the times when you did blunders whereas you always try to see yourself in light. It is you, who should understand and remind the boss about how you did well to save your office or staff from some trouble.

You are paid according to, your worth in the market and if you have not worked well for what has been paid to you, then the chances of your dismissal are manifold.

Think well of yourself and your performance. You should concentrate on your achievements and what you actually learned / overcame from failures.

If you don't agree with your superior's assessment of your work make a light argument and accept the facts about yourself. Chances are you could do things better the next year.

Aim High for the next year so that you can achieve more. A successful assessment could result in a salary hike of 20-30 per cent and possible a promotion.
